Hi,
My name is Tara Karstädt, I’m 23 years old, and from Berlin, Germany.
I’ve dreamt of travelling ever since I can remember. There is one thing my obsession countries have in common: they are wild, open places where nature still has something to say.
I have also been horse-obsessed my whole life, and got my own horses in 2017. I finally want to combine my passions (why only choose one?), and take my horses travelling with me. We will be hiking and riding from Germany, through Poland and the Baltics, over to Finland, and trough Sweden into Norway. That’s 3000km on an open timeline. I don’t know if we’ll get there, and what will happen after.
Besides the physical travel blog, I will also (and mostly) share my personal journey. I have struggled with depression and other mental health issues for over 10 years. Unfortunately, therapy, medication and hospitalisations provided little relief. As a matter of fact, I feel like since I started this blog with my 5 month van travel through Norway, I can see some positive development for the first time. I still have a long way to go, but I believe these journeys and adventures will be the way for me.
